How to fix app store download problem
Your Mac uses Spotlight to determine what apps you have installed. And perhaps, due to a bug or a corrupted file, your operating system thinks that the app you are trying to download is already in your system which is why it is not letting you download it again.
The system will begin re-indexing everything in your HD. If you see a dot in the center of the magnifying glass, which can be found at the top right of the menu bar, then that means the re-indexing is ongoing.

Click the "Date and Time" option. This should be at the top of the search menu. For Windows 8, click "Change the Date and Time" below the search field.
Click "Change the Date and Time". You can find this option in the "Date and Time" menu. You must be an administrator to change these settings. Adjust your date and time settings. Part 2. Click your profile icon. You can find this to the left of the search bar. Click the "Check for Updates" button. This should be in the top right corner of your app store. Wait for the updates to apply.
Depending on how many apps you have in need of updates, this may take a few minutes. Return to the app download page. If your current apps were backing up the download process, these apps should now be downloading. Part 3. Click your account icon to the left of the search bar. If you have a picture associated with your Windows account, it will appear here; otherwise, this icon will be a person's silhouette.
Click your account name. You can find this option at the top of the resulting drop-down menu. Click "Sign out" below your name. This will sign you out of the Store app. You should see this at the top of the pop-up menu. Open " Settings " and go to " General ".
When the slider appears, move it to turn off your device. If it's something wrong with the network connection and you have tried Tip 1 but it doesn't work, you can reset network settings to erase all the saved networks and re-connect to it by entering password.
Run " Settings " and go to " General ". Choose " Reset " and then tap on " Reset Network Settings ". The app is available for both Windows and Macs so irrespective of which platform you use, you are covered.
